Chad Blanchard, LMFT

I help people from the Corvallis & Albany area overcome mental health challenges and move towards meaningful goals. My path to becoming a therapist began after I experienced my own profound sense of inner peace and joy through meditation practice. That transformative experience sparked my passion for helping others discover the possibility of similar healing and growth.

I bring a warm, genuine curiosity to my work with clients. My goal is to create a therapeutic space that is supportive and non-judgmental. I combine mindfulness-based techniques with proven therapeutic methods such as:

Mindfulness-Based Techniques - For developing present-moment awareness and self-compassion

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) - For identifying and changing unhelpful thought patterns

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) - For values-based living and psychological flexibility

Internal Family Systems (IFS) - For understanding different aspects of oneself

These approaches help people develop new ways of relating to their thoughts, emotions, and experiences, creating opportunities for more core value-aligned and functional behaviors.

I Specialize in Helping Adults With:

Depression
I'll work with someone through feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and disconnection to help explore the possibility of rediscovering motivation and joy in daily life.

Anger & Emotional Regulation
We can work on transforming intense emotions into healthier forms of expression, while changing the relationship with oneself and relationships with others.

Anxiety & Worry
Together we can work toward finding relief from persistent worry, panic, and overwhelm through practical coping strategies and nervous system regulation.

Self-Esteem & Self-Criticism
Helping people build a more compassionate inner voice and develop confidence in their abilities and sense of worthiness.

Trauma & PTSD
I use gentle, effective approaches to help individuals relate to their past experiences differently, while honoring their resilience and natural capacity for recovery.

Feeling "Stuck" in Life Patterns
Assisting clients in breaking free from habits and behaviors that once felt helpful, though now hold them back from moving towards meaningful change..

Getting Started

Every person's experience with depression is unique, and so is their path to recovery.

With commitment to the process and the right therapeutic support, positive change is not only possible—it's probable.

  • We'll begin with a complimentary phone conversation where we can discuss your concerns and determine if we might be a good fit for working together. This gives you a chance to ask questions and get a sense of my approach without any commitment.

  • During our first session, we'll explore your history, current challenges, and goals for therapy. This comprehensive assessment helps me understand your unique situation and begin developing a collaborative treatment plan tailored to your needs.

  • Regular therapy sessions provide a consistent space to explore, process, and develop new tools and perspectives. Sessions are scheduled weekly or bi-weekly depending on individual needs and preferences.
